Mexico partnership

Parkdale had the privilege of sending some of its people to Mexico to build a home for a  family.  This is our family for 2011.    Mission Mexico 2011 Prayer Calendar

Fourteen volunteers from the church travelled at their own expense over the Christmas holidays.  This involved sacrifice on the part of our team members.  The church family supported the team through prayer and the provision of funds to purchase the building materials, furnishings and basic supplies.

The church family prayed for them Sunday, December 11.  Our Team departed Saturday December 17 at 5:50 am to catch the 7:00 am ferry.   There were a few bleary eyes but everyone was eager to get started.

There were plenty of supplies for the 50 Christmas Stockings given out.  The stockings and the house were given away on Christmas Sunday.  December 25, 2011 the team completed the build and presented the house to the family.  Then on December 29 shortly after 11 pm our team arrived safe but weary in Victoria.  Thanks be to God!
